A LITTLE OF OUR HISTORY
It was 1992 when Domingos Monteiro Pereira decided to venture into a business on his own. The passion for the area and the dream of being an entrepreneur led to the creation of CORTARTE.
Knowing what you want is the first step on a long road, and with the support of his brother José Monteiro Pereira and his brother Paulo Monteiro Pereira, they created a sustainable business with differentiating products and services that guide the innovative and ambitious DNA of the company.
1992
The company Cortarte was born on February 11, 1992. With the objective to produce die cutters, Domingos Pereira starts its activity with the collaboration of an employee, in a space of about 15m², where the first machines are installed.
1993
In 1993, the scope of the company's activity was extended to the manufacture of clichés, which required a reinforcement of human resources, and an increase of the work space to an area of around 120 m².
1995
In 1995 the company assumes the name Pereira & Monteiro - Indústria de Cortantes gráficos e Clichés Lda.
2001
Expansion of facilities. New investments in technology and the creation of jobs. Introduction of new areas of activity, namely Screen Printing. The company Pereira & Monteiro changes its corporate name to Cortarte - Indústria de Cortantes gráficos e Clichés Lda.
2008
The company becomes more and more specialized in solutions for the graphic arts industry with the creation of a new service, Plasticization.
2018
Industrial growth and modernization. Start of a new service, Hot Foil Stamping.
2020
Expansion and modernisation of the facilities, now occupying an industrial space of around 2000 m². Currently, the products and services focus on Graphic Cutting, Flexography, Screen Printing, Plasticization and Stamping.
